Cellular Buffers
The cellular buffers are an alternative to hydraulic buffers where
impacts are less arduous and less frequent, i.e most commonly
used on the cross travel of crabs on the gantry cranes. The main
difference between rubber and cellular buffers is that the cellular
buffers are much more efficient than rubber buffers. A more efficient
buffer will produce less recoil and results in smaller impact
forces on crane components.
The size of the cellular buffers ranges from 80mm diameter by
120mm height through to a 600mm diameter by 900mm height.
